Privacy policy

AYA Natural Skin is a South African skincare business based in Plettenberg Bay. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email, phone number, and billing and delivery address.
  • When you browse: device and browsing information (such as your browser, IP address and the pages you view), collected through cookies and similar tools.
  • When you sign up for emails: your name and email address.

We don't see or store your card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.

How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders, and send order updates
  • To answer your questions
  • To send you AYA emails, only if you've signed up (you can unsubscribe any time)
  • To improve our website and show relevant ads
  • To prevent fraud

Who we share it with

We only share what's needed with the services that help us run AYA:

  • Shopify (our online store)
  • PayFast and Yoco (payments)
  • The Courier Guy (deliveries)
  • Klaviyo (emails)
  • Meta and Google (website analytics and advertising)

Some of these companies store data outside South Africa, under their own privacy protections. We never sell your information. We may share it if the law requires us to.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies to keep the website working, understand how it's used and show you relevant ads. You can switch cookies off in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Google account settings.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes. We keep other information only as long as we need it.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • correct or update it
  • delete it, where we're not legally required to keep it
  • stop sending you marketing
